The Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) is recognized internationally for its clinical, educational and research excellence. Our faculty are clinical and academic leaders who are breaking new ground on issues ranging from inner city health, emergency medicine, addiction medicine, global health, palliative care, immigrant andindigenous health and far more.
The DFCM is home to the Supplemental Emergency Medicine Experience (SEME) Program, a three-month clinical and academic immersion that enhances emergency medicine skills for family physicians in Ontario’s rural and smaller communities. It is focused on practical, hands-on learning, builds confidence in managing acute resuscitations, high-risk procedures, and complex cases.
As the Supplemental Emergency Medicine Experience (SEME) Program Officer youwill play an integral role in overall coordination of program logistics, interviews, scheduling rotations and clinical skills programming including equipment purchase and set up and updating content for an online learner management system. Your strong communication, organizational and critical thinking skills, attention to detail and program stakeholder relations experience will be key to your success in this role.
