Position Summary




The Program Manager oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the Sony Audio Institute for Music Business and Technology. The role provides leadership and administrative oversight of the Sony Audio institute. The Program Manager supports the Executive Director and Steering Committee with research, administration, event management, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day operation of the Institute. Serve as liaison among the Executive Director, senior NYU academic and research staff and senior stakeholders to ensure efficient operation of the Institute. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. This role is essential to establishing and executing the Institute's research, student focus and industry engagement mission. This is a fixed-term position renewed annually based on terms of contract.






Qualifications




Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Music, Entertainment, Media Management or a related field

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years in Music, Entertainment, Media Management or a related field; relevant experience with research administration, planning and implementing administrative activities, academic advisement and work in the music industry.


Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels in the university and private sector. Ability to lead by persuasion, collaboration and empowerment, and work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Preference given to candidates with knowledge of STEM-related industries and professions. Experience in music industry or music technology is a plus. Experience working with faculty and counseling students is a plus.






Additional Information




In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
