Job Title:

Program Manager - Remediation Manager

Location:

Role Mandate

This role will drive the successful delivery of Canadian Business Banking's customer remediation program. CBB needs to bolster critical customer profile data to support KYC and Tax monitoring. They will monitor existing processes, address deficiencies, identify opportunities for improvement, and execute smooth change management. They will manage key relationships including CBB leadership, front line sales and service personnel, technology, risk partners, and offshore agents.

Supports the business/group leader in implementing and maintaining first line of defense programs, overseeing operations to ensure adherence and efficiency, and fostering a strong risk management culture through collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leaders and act as a subject matter expert on regulations.

• Manage large/complex risk programs, monitor industry developments, and update programs accordingly.
• Interpret regulatory requirements, identify gaps, and develop action plans.
• Develop and maintain business procedures, communicate changes, and ensure compliance.
• Lead investigations, self-reports, and reviews, providing responses to regulators and stakeholders.
• Support the compliance program, including acting as BUCO or AML Reporting Officer if applicable.
• Promote risk awareness and provide training to foster a risk-aware culture.
• Implement and oversee the 1st LOD programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
• Identify and mitigate program risks, analyze program effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Support audits and regulatory examinations, and develop training programs.
