Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia’s Opportunities and Social Development department is seeking a Program Manager for Wood Street Campus in Truro. You will lead recruitment, supervision and strategic leadership of professional staff delivering diagnostic, assessment and treatment services for children in care.

Reporting to the Director of Service Delivery, you will oversee program operations, safety, policy development and collaboration with cross‑disciplinary teams, ensuring high standards of care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or acceptable equivalent with several years of progressive supervisory experience in child/youth programs.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
  • Knowledge of safety, staffing, and trauma-informed care in a child/youth care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program and HR management at Wood Street Campus including assessment, treatment, education and programming.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Services to ensure effective delivery of services and case management.
  • Lead policy development and initiatives; manage incidents and treatment plans for continuous improvement.
