What project will this contractor be working on? He will be primarily be working on FXPCB (FX Pricing) related projects.

Job Description:

Must Have Requirement:

1. Strong Understanding of payments systems
2. Having worked on Foreign Exchange Technology projects
3. Experience managing programs in the financial industry
4. Able to talk to executive stakeholders and provide concise updates
5. Ability to articulate Risks and Issues in concise and clear manner
6. Advanced PowerPoint Skills and Strong Presentation Skill
7. Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills
8. Ability to convey technical issue to non-technical person
9. Experience working with Card Networks (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, Interac, Amex, CUP)

Soft Skills:

1. Ability to learn quickly and adjust to constantly evolving environment
2. Strong Multi-Tasking skills

** There will be a technical test to validate Microsoft Excel skills. If the candidate speaks other languages, we may test the language skill as well.

General Spec:

Summary:

The main function of a Program Manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
2. Manage backup, security and user help system.
3. Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
4. Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
5. Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
6. Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff, or participate in staffing decisions.
7. Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.

Skills:

1. Working knowledge of designing and implementing projects.
2. Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
4. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
5. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
6. Knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.

Education/Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
2. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
3. 8-10 years of project management experience required.
4. Certification preferred.
