Why this role is important?

Position Summary:

You will oversee the planning, implementation, execution and tracking of program deliverables and projects and ensure the program team successfully delivers the desired result on time and with the most efficient resources. The Program Manager manages the organization and execution of both internal and external program deliverables and leads various projects. Leadership of key client projects will be in partnership with a Senior Program Manager. This 15-month contract position is to cover a maternity leave.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage program deliverables on time and within scope
  2. In partnership with Senior Program Manager, manage communication with clients
  3. Ensure program objectives are met
  4. Provide a consistent, effective operating structure for program teams
  5. Drive leadership of stakeholders to ensure understanding and ownership of deliverables
  6. Organize internal and external resources
  7. Identify risks and communicate appropriately with senior management to develop risk mitigation plan
  8. Ensure business decisions are made in consultation with appropriate representation from all impacted functional areas
  9. Facilitate meetings to keep team members engaged, motivated, and on task
  10. Provide a collaborative environment for issues to be discussed and resolved effectively and appropriately, and with buy-in from all stakeholders
  11. Manage the effective utilization of resources assigned to the program team, and proactively communicate resource capacity and shortages
  12. Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures.

Behavioral Competencies and Qualifications:

  1. University degree in Business Administration, Science, or equivalent industry-related experience. Science/Healthcare background is an asset.
  2. 3-5 years’ program management or management experience
  3. Demonstrated leadership
  4. Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  5. Experience and strong knowledge in reimbursement
  6. High emotional intelligence and empathy; the ability to connect with people
  7. Excellence in assessment, communication, critical thinking and decision making
  8. Solution Oriented; excellent problem-solving skills with ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  9. Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization, both orally and in writing
  10. Ability to face challenges and drive for results
  11. Ability to create and maintain trust in working relationships
  12. Ability to consistently meet deadlines, and strong personal accountability
  13. Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project and Visio
  14. Strong client-facing experience and business acumen
  15. Bilingual in English and French is an asset
