PROGRAM MANAGER At Pacific Coast Community Resources, we have provided personalized services to people living with diverse abilities since 1990.

About the Role

As our Program Manager, you will use your expertise to make a significant contribution to the people, caregivers, and communities we serve.

Through a family-centred approach, you will provide support in a safe home environment to people who may present complex behaviours, as well as people with diverse abilities. Your natural ability to care for others, working both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, will allow you to influence your team’s success.

You will:

1. Monitor program delivery, planning, and organizational leadership
2. Preferably knowledge and experience with both MCFD and CLBC services
3. Act as a community liaison and coordinate special projects as assigned
4. Report to the Regional Manager and Directors
5. Demonstrate ability to manage and supervise multi/interdisciplinary teams using strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and conflict resolution skills
6. Manage multiple projects with a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy and professionalism
7. Use sound judgment and be able to perform well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
8. Conceptualize new programs and services and experience in planning, organizing, directing, and implementing community-based activities and programs in a collaborative manner
9. Provide services in a manner that supports and reflects positive cultural practices
10. Use highly developed communication skills, both oral and written
11. Recruit, provide orientation to, schedule and evaluate personnel
12. Provide direction, guidance and support for team members to manage conflict openly and constructively
13. Schedule and attend staff meetings and attend and participate in other meetings as required
14. Maintain an attitude of caring, respect and optimism for families, representatives and community members
15. Ensure the home is maintained in a neat and clean state at all times

What you bring

1. A degree in one of the humanities, social sciences or related field with educational preparation for the role of manager/administrator
2. Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in a health management role required *other combinations of education and experience may be considered*
3. Knowledge of and or experience working within a unionized environment
4. Knowledge of Aboriginal Operational Practice Standards and Indicators
5. Knowledge of provincial, federal, and Indigenous organizations
6. Standard First Aid with CPR certificate
7. Knowledge of complex behaviour, and health-needs management
8. Possess a satisfactory physician’s assessment of fitness to work
9. All current vaccinations, including COVID-19 vaccination as mandated by the PHO
10. Satisfactory criminal record and MCFD HUB clearance
11. Have a valid driver's license, access to a safe and reliable vehicle and the ability to travel
