Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools seeks a Program Management Support Paraprofessional to assist students in the multi-categorical/SLD program at Hillcrest Community School. You will support academic and social-emotional development under supervision.

Starting 10/5/26 with a salary between $23.06 and $27.15 per hour, 6.1 hours per day, 5 days a week, 180 days per year. Requires High School Diploma, 60 credits or Para Pro Exam, and PCA certification (or ability to obtain); strong teamwork and daily

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 60 credits post-secondary education or passing score on the Para Pro Exam.
• PCA Certification (or ability to obtain) required.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with licensed and other staff to assist students with academic, behavioral/social/emotional, instruction, and daily living skills.
• Assist in implementation of assigned tasks including instruction and assisting students academically.
• Monitor student's independence and implementation of classroom or individual behavior management programs.
• Assist with daily living activities.
• Communicate student's progress with case managers.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma
• 60 credits post-secondary education or a passing score on the Para Pro Exam
• PCA Certification (or the ability to obtain)

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to pass a pre-work physical exam including the following requirements:

• Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have ability to push/pull equipment including standers, wheelchairs, etc
• Must have ability to repetitively reach overhead
• Must have ability to transfer to/from floor
• Must have ability to kneel

Required Experience: Successful experiences working with speical education students in an educational setting preferred.
