Job summary

Interac is seeking a Program Management Lead to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs within the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners and Product Managers, to ensure alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.

This role requires exceptional leadership, program management expertise, and a proven ability to drive complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• PMP certification required; PgMP considered an asset.
• 10+ years of program management experience leading complex programs.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and delivery partners in technology transformations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile, Scrum, Kanban; MS Project/JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives, aligning with objectives and stakeholder requirements.
• Define program scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders and team members.
• Develop and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, budgets; track progress against milestones/KPIs.
• Partner with Product Owners/Managers to ensure strategy and roadmap alignment.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources for effective communication and execution.
• Drive alignment and leadership readiness for planning events.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies impacting delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement of PM processes and tools.
• Provide regular updates to SLT and key external stakeholders on status and metrics.
• Foster accountability, transparency, and knowledge sharing within the program team.

Who You Will Work With:

The Program Management, Lead will report to the Head - T&O Payments. The Program Management, Lead will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives within Interac. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, drive operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership abilities, strong project and program management skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex programs in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

• Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements, managing internal and vendor dependencies.
• Defining program scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders and team members.
• Developing and maintaining detailed program plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and KPIs.
• Partners with Product Owners, Product Managers and Product Owners to help assure strategy, vision and road map alignment and execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources, including internal and external stakeholders, to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and execution.
• Driving alignment and organizational, leadership and team preparedness for planning events
• Identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact program delivery, and proactively implement corrective actions as needed.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Providing regular updates and reports to SLT and key external stakeholders on program status, progress, and key metrics.
• Fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation within the program team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or a related field;
• PMP certification required
• PgMP certification or others considered an asset.
• Proven experience as a program manager, with a minimum of 10+ years of experience managing complex programs and initiatives, from initiation to closure.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and delivery partners across complex technology transformation programs.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Excellent leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a matrixed organization.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively and develop creative solutions.
• Experience with program management tools and methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile, Scrum, Kanban), and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines effectively.
• Strong commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous improvement, with a passion for driving operational excellence and delivering value to stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity

The hiring range for this position is $135,000 - $175,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
