PGW is seeking a proactive and experiencedProgram Lead - Saleyard Safetyto champion safety across our national saleyard network. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about infrastructure safety, building relationships, compliance, and making a tangible difference in the rural sector.

About the Role

As the Program Lead - Saleyard Safety, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive safety audits of saleyards using a predesigned criteria across our nationwide network of saleyards.
  • Identify infrastructure risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and follow up to ensure implementation of safety measures.
  • Lead delivery of recommendations to external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our PGW Health and Safety team to assist with the rollout of PGW's Critical Risk Program, including animal handling and fitness for work programs.

What You'll Bring to the role;

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, safety, or surveying.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in the rural or livestock industry is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel; this is a national role and will have significant travel requirements.
