Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Program Lead, Airport Terminal Revitalization to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.

Major Requirements:

  • Oversees the successful delivery of Terminal Revitalization works, ensuring alignment with defined scope, budget, schedule, quality standards, and risk management protocols.

  • Leads and integrates the sub-program team to operate as a unified and high-performing group.

  • Manages internal and external stakeholder relationships, working in close collaboration with the stakeholder relations team to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Implements and enforces the sub-program’s governance and execution plans across all phases of the program lifecycle.

  • Provides consolidated performance updates to the Program Director and delivers regular progress presentations in key forums.

  • Manages contractor performance in accordance with contractual obligations to ensure successful delivery against scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk parameters.

  • Identifies and manages change requests, escalating decisions as needed and coordinating with PMO Services to facilitate formal change control processes.

  • Leads monthly Sub-Program Progress Reviews, reporting key metrics and performance updates to the Program Director.

  • Communicates resource needs to the Program Director to support coordination with PMO Services and Technical Shared Services teams.

  • Prepares and distributes monthly progress reports and ensures timely updates to the Project Management Information System (PMIS) dashboards.

  • Collaborates with the Program Director and fellow Program Leads to ensure effective integration and delivery of the broader Terminal Revitalization Program.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:

  • BA/BS + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

Preferred Requirements:

  • Professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.

  • Typically brings a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in a program management leadership capacity.

  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience on major international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs, with a focus on delivering terminal restoration and enhancement projects exceeding CAD $500M.

  • Proven expertise in program management and/or relevant technical disciplines, with a track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale programs.

  • Demonstrated capability in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-value, technically challenging projects and programs.

  • Strong technical proficiency across all project phases—design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance—with a preference for large-scale infrastructure initiatives.

  • Extensive experience in managing senior-level stakeholder relationships and delivering strategic performance reporting to support executive-level decision-making.

  • Deep understanding of collaborative delivery environments and practical experience with progressive contracting models, including Progressive Design-Build and Target Price approaches.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate meetings and workshops involving large and diverse stakeholder groups.

This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
