Job description

Arobas Personnel is currently seeking a Program Data Lead for a contract opportunity with one of our clients based in Montreal.

*100% Remote Canada*

What will your day-to-day look like?

As the Program Data Lead, you’ll play a critical role in driving a successful SAP ECC to S/4HANA data migration. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the strategy, planning, and execution of the SAP data migration program across all phases—from mock loads to final cutover.
• Coordinating and managing data migration activities across business units, technical teams, and data owners.
• Designing and implementing transformation logic, data cleansing processes, and orchestration pipelines using DataIku to support harmonized data models.
• Leveraging tools such as LSMW, SAP Data Services, and other native SAP utilities for legacy data extraction and loading.
• Defining and overseeing data validation strategies, reconciliation protocols, and quality checkpoints.
• Ensuring alignment among business leads, data stewards, and solution architects on master data object (MDO) changes and their impacts.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for program status updates, risks, roadblocks, and escalations—particularly for executive sponsors and steering committees.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of data mappings, transformation logic, business rules, testing outcomes, and exception management.
• Supporting cutover readiness activities, including defining Go/No-Go criteria and rollback plans.

What are we looking for?

• 8+ years of experience leading large-scale enterprise data migration initiatives.
• Proven experience with at least two full-cycle SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
• Hands-on experience with DataIku for data transformation, pipeline orchestration, and enrichment.
• Strong knowledge of LSMW and SAP data structures (e.g., Material Master, Vendor/Customer, FI/CO, BOMs).
• Solid understanding of enterprise master data governance and data quality best practices.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and within cross-functional ERP transformation teams.
• Bilingual (English and French).

Nice to have:

• PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
• Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) and modern data stack solutions.
• Knowledge of the SAP Activate methodology and Solution Manager.
• Exposure to enterprise data observability tools (e.g., Monte Carlo, Collibra).
