Program Coordinator - Progressive Aboriginal Relations

CCAB offers knowledge resources and programs to both corporate Canada and Indigenous-owned member companies to foster relationships and economic opportunities in Canada.

This position provides a key steppingstone for Indigenous employees to improve their professional, organizational, and communication skills, gaining exposure to the wider Indigenous business community.

Key Responsibilities :

The primary role of the Program Coordinator is to support the Program Director of PAR and is administrative-heavy. Responsibilities include coordinating the day-to-day administrative aspects of the PAR program, assisting with the growth of the PAR Program, and serving as a contact for PAR.

Administrative : Intake Process

  • Process all new applications for CCAB programming
  • Schedule training sessions for the Director to train companies joining the PAR Program
  • Support in preparing reporting documents for quarterly reporting and committee meetings
  • Monitor all file systems and databases related to programming
  • Prepare letters, documents, or data reports relevant to programming
  • Schedule training and travel for companies requesting in-person sessions
  • Coordinate in-person meetings and events related to PAR
  • Send welcome letters, logo toolkit, logos, and online tool password to PAR companies upon participation confirmation
  • Handle all PAR-related questions for an overview of the PAR program

Administrative : Monitor & Track

  • Update all records in the MPOWER CRM and monitor tracking for reporting
  • Collect and maintain records on program clients for statistical purposes
  • Create and track invitation lists and event attendance
  • Request BIO and photos of speakers and draft event postings
  • Complete PAR research
  • Marketing & Event Planning :

  • Schedule and post marketing for programming and events quarterly
  • Provide messaging for outreach efforts in PAR
  • Provide administrative support for planning nationwide events with all departments
  • Skills & Work Experience :

  • Post-secondary diploma in business or 2 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Analytical, operational, and computer skills
  • Highly motivated team player with positive interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Previous knowledge or experience with content management and sales management systems
  • Minimum two years of administrative experience
  • French language an asset
  • This is a 1-year contract, Full-time position with hours from 9 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Hybrid position within Toronto & the surrounding area.
