As a member of the multidisciplinary team within a client and family-centered care model, the Program Coordinator (PC I) plans, develops, implements, and evaluates recreational programs to support residents' and clients' health and well-being in residential, acute, or adult day settings. The PC I may supervise up to four Activity Worker II positions and provides guidance to volunteers. Under the clinical direction of a Recreation Therapist or designated professional (e.g., OT, RN), the PC I executes therapeutic components of care plans and monitors residents' progress.
The position requires a Class IV Unrestricted BC Driver's License or obtaining one within the first six months of hire.
Shift hours: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00, 08:30 to 16:30, 09:00 to 17:00, 12:00 to 20:00.
Location: Jubilee Lodge, attached to the University Hospital of Northern BC, a 66-bed facility with various units, dining area, solarium, patio, and onsite Recreation Therapy activities.
