Established in 1976, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. The Program Coordinator, Adult Basic Education (ABE), is responsible for coordinating and managing training initiatives with First Nation Communities across Saskatchewan. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of programs from start to finish, including administration and financial budgeting, program development, monitoring, as well as recruitment of instructors and students, and completing evaluations. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following broad range of accountabilities:

Required Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor of Education degree with three to six years of teaching experience. Experience in program administration and coordination is preferred, with the ability to develop, establish, and maintain good working relationships within First Nations communities. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations would be an asset. The incumbent must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation as travel is required.
As this position is considered safety sensitive, the incumbent will be subject to testing as per SIIT's Alcohol and Substances policy.
Must currently be registered with Saskatchewan Professional Teacher's Regulatory Board (SPTRB).
Dates of Contract: April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
