Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop the program in consultation with the program manager, and implement program activities and special events.
- Formulate program policies and procedures and evaluate the program in consultation with the supervisor.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that necessary facilities and equipment are in place; program policies, guidelines, and best practices are adhered to; and program standards and licensing requirements are met.
- Supervise program staff and contractors by assigning work, providing feedback on performance, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of program staff and contractors by screening applicants, participating in interview panels, and making hiring recommendations.
- Schedule program staff and set up placements according to program requirements.
- Orient, determine the need for, and provide training to program staff, contractors, volunteers, and practicum students.
- Promote public awareness of and support for the program by producing promotional materials and attending community events.
- Liaise with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the program, and represent the agency and/or program at external events.
- Maintain related records and statistics and produce reports as required.
- Operate motor vehicles safely and legally while transporting service recipients or on Taproot business.
- Provide on-call and emergency coverage on pager or cell phone as required.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
