Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and develop the program in consultation with the program manager, and implement program activities and special events.
2. Formulate program policies and procedures and evaluate the program in consultation with the supervisor.
3. Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that necessary facilities and equipment are in place; program policies, guidelines, and best practices are adhered to; and program standards and licensing requirements are met.
4. Supervise program staff and contractors by assigning work, providing feedback on performance, and conducting performance evaluations.
5. Participate in the recruitment and selection of program staff and contractors by screening applicants, participating in interview panels, and making hiring recommendations.
6. Schedule program staff and set up placements according to program requirements.
7. Orient, determine the need for, and provide training to program staff, contractors, volunteers, and practicum students.
8. Promote public awareness of and support for the program by producing promotional materials and attending community events.
9. Liaise with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the program, and represent the agency and/or program at external events.
10. Maintain related records and statistics and produce reports as required.
11. Operate motor vehicles safely and legally while transporting service recipients or on Taproot business.
12. Provide on-call and emergency coverage on pager or cell phone as required.
13. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
