Overview

Employment status: Regular full-time

Position's anticipated start date: 2025-10-20

Possible schedule/FTE: 1.0

Salary/Rate of pay: $26.63

Responsibilities
  • This external job posting may close earlier than the advertised deadline. We recommend applying as soon as possible.
  • Assist with the recruitment of Apheresis donors through phone calls and generating flag forms from Whole Blood Donors
  • Respond to and process inquiries from donors via phone, in person and email with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Schedule appointment bookings and cancellations according to established procedures
  • Prepare the Event Schedule for the subsequent event date with attention to detail
  • Create HLA/HPA Charts for Recipients requiring Platelet Transfusions from matched donors
  • Set up the donor center and work collaboratively with Clinic Nurses and Clinic Supervisors
  • Record statistical information as required, according to established procedures
  • Enter data into various spreadsheets and for Apheresis machine maintenance
Education, Training and Experience

Grade 12, two years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Ability to type at 45 w.p.m and Advanced Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and in a group while maintaining positive relations with stakeholders
  • Ability to deal with other effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work
Additional information
  • Works Monday to Friday - 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00. Rest days: Saturday and Sunday.
