Position Summary

Northern Health is seeking an experienced, efficient, and self-directed Program Assistant to support the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP).

Under the supervision of the Manager, Surgical Recovery, the Program Assistant will perform clerical and administrative duties to support NSQIP, including assisting Surgical Clinical Reviewers, preparing documents, maintaining files and databases, and providing general administrative support.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days - 08:00 to 16:00, Rotating

University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest Acute Care facility in the Northern Health region, serving as a hub for specialized health services and a teaching hospital. It provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, hosts residents in UBC's Family Practice Residency Program, and is a key clinical education site for nursing and health sciences students from various institutions. UHNBC has undergone extensive expansions and renovations since 2001, including an expanded emergency room, ICU, maternal-child care centre, MRI unit, and a cancer centre offering a wide range of treatments including radiation therapy.

Prince George is the regional centre for business, education, health, and culture in northern British Columbia, serving a population of about 320,000.
