About the Urban Studies Program
Located at the downtown Vancouver campus, the Urban Studies Program explores urban life and development, offering graduate and undergraduate programs that prepare students to understand urbanization, promote sustainable cities, and engage in public policy and planning. Our faculty and students collaborate across disciplines and engage with communities to produce impactful research and foster informed public discourse.
Role Overview
The Program Assistant / Assistant to the Director provides secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Urban Studies, Program Chairs, and the Manager of Academic and Administrative Services. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, maintaining student records, preparing documentation, supporting curriculum changes, and assisting with academic scheduling. The role requires discretion, organization, and a service-oriented approach in a fast-paced academic environment.
Qualifications
High school graduation plus one year of post-secondary education or equivalent, including training in administrative applications. Three years of experience are preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
