Qualifications

  • Valid G driver's license is required.

Position: Profilograph Technician / Quality Control Administrator
Term: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Oakville
Start Date: June 2025

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand Occupational Health and Safety standards, performance objectives & targets
  • Conduct inertial profiler testing and analysis of pavement surfaces to assess smoothness, roughness, and slope
  • Interpret and report profilograph data
  • Review and define project scope; ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications (e.g., OPSS, OPSDs) during execution and closing phases
  • Implement the DCC’s QMS at the site level
  • Monitor construction processes to optimize financial incentives and minimize risks
  • Identify and report non-conformances
  • Develop corrective action strategies
  • Supervise and administer all onsite testing personnel and resources
  • Monitor workmanship and materials for conformance to contract requirements, including asphalt, concrete, and granular materials
  • Coordinate with other professionals such as Quality Verification Engineers, Consultants, Environmental, and Design teams
  • Manage all QC-related correspondence and disseminate information to stakeholders
  • Liaise between clients, external stakeholders, and Dufferin Construction
  • Provide guidance to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective resource management
  • Operate in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements to meet environmental standards and performance targets

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering Degree or Civil Engineering Technologist/Technician Diploma
  • Valid G driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to foster teamwork and cooperate with a highly functional team
  • Flexibility to work nights, overtime, and weekends
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to goals
  • Assertive, motivated, and independent
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Work from a construction site office
  • Exposure to construction environments, heavy equipment, live traffic, and weather conditions
  • Seasonal snow removal supervision and monitoring
  • Standard 50-hour workweek, with potential night or weekend work based on operational needs
