Duties:

We invite applications from university educators seeking to join a collegial department where teaching innovation and student success are highly valued. We seek applicants who share our passion for delivering high-quality undergraduate education and who can skillfully bridge their teaching with their scholarly work.

We are exploring our curriculum and program learning outcomes, and we invite applicants who are excited about contributing to shaping the future of our department. We welcome sociologists interested in interdisciplinary collaboration within the social sciences, particularly with the department of Anthropology.

We seek to hire an individual whose scholarly experience speaks to contemporary issues with expertise in areas that complement those already in the Department. Priority will be given to individuals with an interest in developing new courses for the program and creating engaging learning opportunities for undergraduate students.

The teaching responsibilities of successful candidates may include research methods.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service. Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.
