What are your contributions to the team?
  • MRB Support:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to resolve material and structural technical engineering issues identified during production or in-service.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, providing technical engineering guidance and recommendations.
  • Analyze stress reports, non-conformities, and deviations, proposing technical engineering effective solutions to maintain airworthiness.
  • Work closely with DADs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Technical Engineering Structural Analysis:
  • Conduct detailed stress analysis using finite element methods (FEM) and classical hand calculations.
  • Evaluate structural components, assemblies, and modifications.
  • Assess fatigue life, static strength, and damage tolerance.
  • Identify critical areas and propose design improvements.
  • Technical Engineering Documentation:
  • Prepare stress reports, technical engineering compliance documents, and engineering change requests (ECRs).
  • Document findings, assumptions, and methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate records for certification purposes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to enhance stress analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
How to thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years\' experience in stress analysis for aircraft structures.
  • Proficiency in FEM software (such as Nastran, Abaqus, or Ansys).
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, Transport Canada).
