Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Professional, Senior Engineer in Project Engineering - Research & Technology to lead planning and execution of R&T initiatives in aerospace. You will define objectives, scope, deliverables and manage schedules and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 8–10 years in aerospace, strong governance, and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and TeamCenter. Canada-based, day shift, on-site in Dorval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in aerospace; project engineering is a plus.
• Strong schedule, budget and governance capabilities.
• Familiarity with technology maturation and conceptual design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of R&T initiatives.
• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables for maturation or aircraft development.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and critical paths, risk and cost plans.
• Own medium complexity projects within budget and lead recovery actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Lead the planning and execution of R&T initiatives
• Define project objectives, scope of work, and deliverables for technology maturation and/or aircraft development
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and critical path, risk management plans, and cost tracking
• Own the completion/execution of medium complexity projects within budget, justify deviations, and lead recovery actions
• Collaborate within the Engineering community, cross functional teams as well as external stakeholders
• Lead change management activities
• Provide clear visibility and reporting to management on project status, risks, and strategic decisions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within R&T

• You have a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• You have 8-10 years of experience in aerospace industry, project engineering experience is an asset.
