Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, QC is seeking a Project Engineering and Integration professional to lead aerospace defense programs, coordinating schedules, milestones and budgets while aligning with stakeholders.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, interface with PMO and suppliers, and drive technical activities to successful delivery. Must have 5+ years in aerospace PMO and bilingual English/French.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in aerospace; technical engineering experience is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in French and English; proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel for presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Project Engineering and Integration focal for missionized aircraft programs.
  • Interface with Bombardier Defense’s PMO, customers’ technical/PMO representatives and suppliers.
  • Create schedules, milestones and budgets for technical activities.
  • Plan and monitor tasks to achieve project objectives and estimating levels of effort; scheduling interdependencies.
  • Plan and monitor financials to achieve project targets; coordinate supplier activities.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Act as Project Engineering and Integration focal for various challenging missionized aircraft programs;
  • Interface with Bombardier Defense’s Program Management Office (PMO) and with the customers’ technical/PMO representatives and suppliers;
  • Create schedules, milestones and budgets for technical activities;
  • Plan and monitor tasks to achieve project objectives; from technical activities to estimating levels of effort, to scheduling tasks and their interdependencies;
  • Plan and monitor financials to achieve project targets;
  • Lead and drive the involvement of multidisciplinary stakeholders to find solutions to technical roadblocks, risks and challenges;
  • Ensure that all technical activities are harmonized, and that the delivery of all contract requirements is performed as per the schedule;
  • Coordinate engineering resources to execute on the plan as well as identifying risks and facilitating the resolution of issues;
  • Communicate with stakeholders (customer, management, team, resources, supplier) such that there is solid alignment and coordination;
  • Be accountable for the submission of all deliverables;
  • Manage all technical requirements documentations;
  • Manage schedule, facilitate and coordinate key milestones activities in support of program/project (internal and external);
  • Responsible for coordinating the supplier activities;
  • Support and assist in preparing and presenting status, cost and schedule updates to upper management through regular governance meetings.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance;
  • You have at least 5 years of project management experience in aerospace; technical engineering experience is an asset;
  • You possess an excellent understanding and relevant experience in the aircraft development environment from conceptual design to aircraft certification;
  • You demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills such that you are able to communicate, align and influence stakeholders;
  • You must have strong communication skills to ensure clear consistent and timely information sharing within the team and across functional areas;
  • You are bilingual in French and English;
  • You must have proficiency in MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel to generate and give presentations to various levels in the company;
  • You must have expert skills in MS Projects;
  • You have a strong technical knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems and special mission equipment (preferred);
  • You have knowledge of ITAR and Controlled Goods Program regulations and previous experience in government and/or military flight operations exposure would be considered an asset;
  • You may be required to travel and work extended hours when required;
  • You are eligible to view and handle ITAR/Controlled Goods material.
