Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Professional Senior Engineer in Aircraft Integrator to join Aerospace Canada. You design, analyze, and oversee aircraft systems within a cross-functional team, ensuring timely implementation of design changes and adherence to certification requirements.

You will report to the G8000 Head of Aircraft Design and collaborate with Platform Project Managers to harmonize actions and achieve aircraft-level requirements. A strong engineering background and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• University Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering, in airplane design.
• Knowledge of avionics systems or similar electronic systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of aircraft type certification process and the role of a Design Approval Organization.
• Team player with leadership and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the G8000 Head of Aircraft Design.
• Support the Head of Aircraft Design and the Chief Aircraft Integrator for platform studies and action plans.
• Work with Platform Project Managers and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality, timely design changes.
• Conduct cross-functional investigations and develop harmonized action plans.
• Assist the Chief Aircraft Integrator in establishing aircraft-level requirements for design changes.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Report directly to the G8000 Head of Aircraft Design
• Support the Head of Aircraft Design and the Chief Aircraft Integrator for platform specific studies, investigations and action plans.
• Work with the Platform Project Managers and cross-functional engineering team to ensure a high quality and timely execution of product improvement design changes
• Conduct cross-functional investigations, developing harmonized action plans
• Support Chief Aircraft Integrator establishing aircraft level requirements (D&O & ARD), of design changes under the purview of the Platform

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a University Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of aerospace engineering, in the context of airplane design
• A plus: you have knowledge and experience in airplanes Avionics System, or other similar electronic systems
• You have knowledge of aircraft type certification process and of the role of a Design Approval Organization
• You are a team player, able to integrate across multiple engineering disciplines to resolve problems
• Have leadership and decision/making capability
