Job summary

Sterling Karamar Property Management in North York, ON, is seeking a Residential Cleaner (Live-Out) to maintain clean and safe common areas, lobbies, and dwellings. The role involves cleaning lobbies, laundry rooms, washrooms, and elevator cabs, with focus on using designated supplies and equipment to meet company standards.

Applicants should be prepared to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Prior building cleaning experience is preferred; basic safety compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education.
• Experience as a building cleaner preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean lobbies, laundry room and washrooms, elevator cab, garbage chute and garbage rooms, including mopping and vacuuming of all floors, runners and furniture using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Clean and wipe windows, doors, trims, baseboards, walls, and floors in common areas, including washers and dryers tops.
• Dust lobby area light shades, tabletops, picture frames, and elevator fans.
• Clean and polish stainless steel.
• Ensure vacant apartments are thoroughly cleaned and on schedule per manager directions.
• Remove and dispose of pamphlets and flyers from mail room and lobby areas.
• Remove debris on every floor.
• Follow Health & Safety guidelines including WHMIS.
• Identify and report urgent repairs or hazards to management.
• Maintain positive relationships with co-workers and tenants.
• Other duties as required.
