Focus Interpreting is seeking a skilled English-Vietnamese Interpreter to join our team. You will provide accurate interpretation services to clients in real-time across medical, legal, and social services contexts.

Applicants should demonstrate fluency in English and Vietnamese with strong communication skills, and an understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances. Prior medical interpreting experience is preferred, with a commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Vietnamese with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of linguistics and cross-cultural interpretation.
• Meticulous attention to detail to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Experience in medical interpreting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate real-time interpretation between English and Vietnamese speakers.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness using industry-standard techniques and equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity during interpretation sessions.
• Continue improving language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for medical, legal and social services contexts.
