Job Summary
A Brief Overview
The Faculty of Law is nationally and internationally recognized as a leading law school, with a distinguished record of outstanding teaching and research. In addition to offering the JD and graduate (LLM and PhD) programs, the Faculty of Law also offers innovative online programs such as the Certificate in Law and Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law, along with Professional Certificate Programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the legal profession and related markets. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the effective oversight and delivery of all components and operations related to the Professional Certificate Programs, and also providing instructional design services for the Professional Certificate Programs. This includes, but is not limited to, onboarding and collaborating with Course Authors to develop high-calibre offerings and educational materials; working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to create and implement marketing plans aimed at meeting (ideally exceeding) enrolment targets; monitoring registration numbers and adjusting marketing strategies as necessary; and coordinating with the Finance team to manage budgets and address any financial issues. In addition, the incumbent will provide instructional design/educational development expertise to support the delivery of the Faculty's academic programs, in particular the Professional Certificate Programs. This includes, but is not limited to, making evidence-based recommendations for curriculum enhancements to support best practice; engaging in high level consultations with academic directors, program administrators, and subject matter experts; developing curriculum components such as in-class exercises, videos, and assessments in consultation with Course Authors; and making recommendations related to the sustainability and scalability of the Faculty's programs and online initiatives with a view to ensuring the integrity of the learning experience.

Job Description
What you will do
Researches, develops, and assists in the selection, development, and implementation of instructional innovations, advancements in subject matter education, and learning theory, and consults on the use of information technology and online resources, including synthesizing literature to provide evidence based exemplars or steps to follow.
- Assists faculty with the transition from lectures to active instructional methods through one-on-one or team meetings to diagnose challenges, formulate revision plans, and manage the implementation through direct or indirect coaching.
- Provides training to instructors, staff, and teaching assistants on use of educational technology tools.
- Develops, implements, and/or provides consultation, and support for appropriate teaching methodologies to meet accreditation standards.
- Develops and/or recommends sessions for course instructors and/or faculty who are looking to improve course design and delivery.
- Designs and creates learning materials, including electronic modules, cases, quizzes, and other interactive classroom materials.
- Undertakes and facilitates mapping, assessment, and evaluation of student learning and engagement outcome data.
- Creates an in-house library of educational resources.
- Provides leadership and expertise on strategic initiatives and policies.
- Establishes, monitors, and communicates project timelines and milestones, maintains a project budget, and coordinates the work of faculty and staff.
- Coordinates communication and action plans to facilitate projects and strategic initiatives.
- Conducts research and data analysis on the current market, prospective partners, industry trends, student demand and best practice in support of project development.
- Coordinates, tracks, and aggregates comprehensive program progress and impact reports for internal team analysis and high-level reporting to key stakeholders.
- Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information; collecting and coordinating submissions; identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals and managing deadlines.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education
- Master's Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires a professional designation, certification, or other qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

Required Experience
- More than 5 years of experience.
- Experience in planning and/or managing projects considered an asset.
- Experience planning, coordinating and/or managing events or promotions considered an asset.
- Knowledge of eLearning standards and best practices as well as emerging learning technologies is considered an asset.
- Experience with rapid eLearning development tools or other applicable emerging learning technologies is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with online learning strategies considered an asset.
- Familiarity with experiential learning theory considered an asset.
- Experience working with diverse populations/equity deserving groups considered an asset.
- Experience working in a comparable client-focused environment considered an asset
- Experience working at a post-secondary education institution considered an asset.
