Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Digital Engineering professional to drive MBSE and PLM initiatives within a hybrid Canada-based team. You will translate engineering needs into digital capabilities, support digital thread governance and contribute to the Digital Engineering transformation roadmap.

The role calls for 5+ years in engineering, strong leadership, and fluency in English and French. You will collaborate across IT and development teams while maintaining high data governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 5+ years in engineering, ideally in product development in a large organization.
• Familiar with PLM tools, MBSE and Digital Threads concepts.
• Experience with digital transformation projects in an engineering context.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication in English and French.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence.
• Team player; organized and autonomous.

• Be part of a dynamic team that is helping redefine the digital landscape for Bombardier engineering
• Learn and understand the existing processes and toolsets to identify potential opportunities offered by new digital technologies
• Evaluate potential applications of model‑based and data‑centric engineering practices across different engineering groups (including but not limited to Interior Completions, Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems)
• Help define and execute elements of the Digital Engineering transformation roadmap

• Provide technical insight and guidance without acting as a traditional functional authority

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering
• You have 5+ years of experience in engineering, ideally in a product development context, preferably in a large organization
• You are familiar with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, as well as MBSE and Digital Threads concepts
• You have participated in digital transformation projects, in an engineering context (an asset)
• You possess strong analytical, planning, problem solving skills, as well as a good business sense
• You are attentive to detail and are able to clearly convey information
• You demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French, and have the capacity to train and/or guide others
• You have strong leadership skills and the ability to influence
• You work well in a team
• You are comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• You are organized, autonomous and manage your time effectively
