Experienced Caregiver Position At Home Instead - Victoria

Are you an experienced and compassionate caregiver seeking a rewarding opportunity in Sidney? Home Instead is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team and provide exceptional care to our clients.


Position: Experienced Caregiver
Location: Sidney, BC
Compensation: $20.50 per hour
Double time on statutory holidays once you qualify

Responsibilities:
  1. Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  2. Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment, including tasks like laundry, dusting, and vacuuming.
  3. Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities, providing emotional support.
  4. Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
  5. Outings: Accompany clients on errands, appointments, and recreational activities.

Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in caregiving with a deep understanding of the needs of seniors.
  2. Demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
  3. Knowledgeable in providing personal care and assisting with daily living activities.
  4. Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  6. Highly proficient in both verbal and written English.
  7. Must currently live in Canada with a valid work permit, study permit, permanent residency, or citizenship.
