Position Summary (Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or on-call position providing professional support in various functions such as business, science, medical, or agricultural fields. The term can include two 9-month periods with a break in between, and on-call hours are limited to 1039 hours per year.

Unit Position Summary

The NMSI Professional Aid will assist the Program Associate Director with daily operations, including data entry, filing, processing applications, maintaining records, and other duties.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. 40% - Communication: Email and call students, employers, and programs; follow up on surveys; orient students.
  2. 40% - Data Processing: Track participation and stipends; manage files.
  3. 15% - Marketing: Manage social media, newsletters, and research.
  4. 5% - Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 60 college credit hours.
  • One year office experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience with programs similar to NMSI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Experience with Migrant/Seasonal Farmworker community.
  • Marketing and design software experience.
  • Confidential information handling experience.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
