Job summary

Cascadia Metals in Surrey is seeking production workers for the Surrey branch. Shifts are from 1:30 pm to 12:00 am.

You will operate a forklift (training provided), unwrap coils, prepare for manufacturing, move materials onto machinery, wrap and palletize finished products, and support the operator to maintain efficient production. Ideal candidates are punctual, detail-oriented and communicative, with a safety-first mindset and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Safety-minded with the ability to follow procedures.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift or be trained to operate one.
• Unwrap coils and prepare for manufacturing.
• Move and load coils onto machinery.
• Wrap and strap finished products for shipment.
• Build pallets when needed and assist the operator.
• Tag and label required material.
• Follow production plans and schedules.
• Strip coils and assist the Machine Operator.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Responsibilities:

• Operating a forklift or willing to be trained on one
• Unwrapping the coil and preparing it for manufacturing
• Moving and loading coil onto machinery
• Wrapping and strapping the finished product
• Building pallets when needed
• Assisting the operator as needed
• Tagging and marking required material
• Follow production plans
• Strip the coil and assist the Machine Operator
• Maintaining a clean and orderly environment

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
