Position Purpose

A production worker is responsible for working within a team to maintain a fast-paced flow on the floor. They prepare products for distribution efficiently by assembling and checking products throughout the production process to ensure all shipped products meet customer quality standards and expectations.

Responsibilities

  1. Operate and monitor a high-speed continuous production line, including aligning products on moving conveyors.
  2. Report all quality and safety concerns to supervisory staff.
  3. Ensure workstation and floor are clean and free of unwanted & hazardous materials throughout and after shifts.
  4. Visually observe products during production, remove waste, and inspect for quality deviations.
  5. Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and Health & Safety rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  6. Ensure GMPs and safe food handling practices are followed at all times.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to keep up with production.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to punch in/out for every break/shift using the company time clock system.
  • Good understanding and application of English oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand scheduling, quality training, safety policies, and procedures after training.
  • Completed minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent, with basic math skills.

This is a part-time position.
