Production Workers, Kitting and Assembly

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Supervisor, Kitting / Assembly, the Kitter and Assembler employee will perform various production and assembly duties throughout the department.

Responsibilities :

  • Stock work stations
  • Review work orders
  • Report material shortages
  • Mark, record and report defects

Operate measuring instruments.

  • Read assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts list in preparation for work to be done.
  • Assemble parts and components together using hand and power tools.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Other kitting and assembly duties as required

Education, Experience and Knowledge Required :

  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalency
  • Combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

The successful applicant must have a superior work ethic, excellent time management skills, commitment to safety and a positive attitude. The work environment will include working alone or as part of a team and following safe work practices.
