Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Responsible for loading unwrapped, primary packaged and secondary packaged products into applicable packaging.
•Responsible for building pallets based on customer requirements.
•Must be able to count properly and have a keen eye for quality.
•Position involves standing for long periods of time, doing repetitive work.
•Committed to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.
•Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Policies.
•Responsible for Food Safety and reporting any non-compliance issues to their immediate supervisor.
•Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
•Comply all SunOpta Quality and food safety standards, HACCP, GMPs, Organic, GFCO, SQF, Kosher certificate and customer requirements
•Responsible for ensuring the work area is clean and organized.
•The backup for this role is an alternate Production Worker.
•All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Minimum High School
•Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

•Good verbal, written and multi-tasking skills, can do attitude

Additional Considerations:

•The location for this role is St. Davids, Ontario

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

•100% of the work is performed in a production environment
•Must be available to work weekly rotating shifts: days, afternoons, nights
•Must be available to work weekends
•Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the shift
•Strong attention to detail
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or with a team
•Competency in performing multiple tasks
•Ability to organize and prioritize
•Must have reliable transportation (location is off bus route)
