Production Worker

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Production Worker will be assigned to a position within the Edmonton facility that may include one of the following:

1. Phosphate Operator - responsible for operating, monitoring, loading, and unloading an automated process that puts a protective coating on threaded couplings.
2. Paint line Operator - responsible for operating, monitoring, loading, and unloading equipment that paints and dries threaded couplings into a finished product.
3. Cut-off Operator - responsible for operating, monitoring, loading, and unloading equipment that cuts raw material into blanks for machining.
4. Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
5. Work in support of the Vision, Mission, and Objectives.
6. Follow the pertinent quality system procedures and policies.
7. Ensure proper water treatment discharge is in accordance with legislation.
8. Physically able to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
9. Continuous grasping, lifting, bending and twisting.
10. Basic knowledge of mathematics.
11. Accountable to make improvements or corrections in line with the performance measures relative to the goals of the plant operations.
12. Coordinate and lead the operation's workforce to ensure safe work practices and product quality standards are met.
13. Routine and preventative maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

1. A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education will be considered.
2. Preferred Assets: Experience in operating equipment and being mechanically inclined.
3. Demonstration of proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office will be considered.
4. Will constantly and consistently push self and others to be top performers and exceed goals.
5. Ability to present the facts in an appropriate and helpful manner.

Compensation

Starting probation rate for this role is $28.02 per hour for first 90 days.
