You are a motivated team player looking to join a remanufacturing facility. You have a natural ability to work in a safe and efficient manner. This is an entry-level position with on-the-job training provided to successful candidates, offering additional opportunities for career development. If this describes you, this opportunity at our Spruceland remanufacturing facility in Acheson, AB might be your calling.

You will work alongside the best and brightest in the industry with an innovative leader in the forest products sector.

The role involves extended periods of manual work, including:

  • Operating machinery such as re-saw and chop saws, assisting with the lath machine, operating a forklift and grader, managing the package saw, using the chipper, and operating the trim saw.
  • Performing various labor duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
  • Rotating through different responsibilities within your team on an hourly basis, reviewing work for accuracy, adhering to schedules, and troubleshooting issues with team leads and maintenance.
  • Contributing to a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.
  • Performing other duties related to the position as necessary.

Requirements include:

  • The ability to perform repetitive manual tasks for long periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, and bending.
  • Willingness to work safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with machinery is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • High attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $23.61.
  • Shift schedule: 2 weeks of day shifts and 2 weeks of night shifts, Monday to Thursday, 6 am - 4 pm, and Fridays, 6 am - 3 pm; night shifts, Monday to Thursday, 5:15 pm - 3:15 am.
