About The Role

The Production Worker - Material Handler role is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of work in progress and finished products while maintaining quality. You will work closely with your teammates to ensure all production lines have the necessary materials and make adjustments as needed to avoid downtime.

What You Will Do
  1. Pick and stage material for production as per the schedule.
  2. Ensure the quantities are correct and match the system records.
  3. Become proficient in ERP and other operating systems.
  4. Ensure all production lines have material available and make adjustments to prevent downtime.
  5. Flag inventory discrepancies and notify your Supervisor for correction.
  6. Collaborate with production leads to meet schedules.
  7. Cut material to size using a Bandsaw.
  8. Report safety issues to your Supervisor or Manager.
  9. Cover breaks in other departments as needed.

About You

You are someone who prioritizes people and process improvement, values simplicity and transparency, and approaches tasks with compassion and sustainability in mind.

  • Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week), with shifts between 5:30 am and 5:30 pm.
  • Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 35 lbs repeatedly and standing throughout your shift.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willing to wear prescribed PPE and familiar with safety policies.
  • Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 or 14001:2015 environment is preferred.
  • Experience in production and familiarity with production software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 6S, Theory of Constraints, and Kanban concepts is advantageous.
