Job summary

Vulcraft Canada in Montreal, Quebec, is seeking a production welder/fabricator for a full-time role in our shop. The candidate will weld using MIG, fabricate steel bar grating assemblies, and operate a band saw, CNC plasma table, and plate roller as needed.

The position includes oxy-fuel cutting and basic maintenance tasks, with safety as a core value. Ideal applicants are self-starters who work well in a team, can lift 50 lbs, and are willing to obtain forklift/crane certification.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety in all work aspects.
• MIG welding experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn CNC plasma cutting and band saw operation.
• Self-motivated, a team player, capable of handling physical work.
• Lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Forklift and overhead crane certification required or willingness to certify.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently weld and fabricate steel bar grating assemblies.
• Operate band saw, CNC plasma table, and plate roller as required.
• Maintain quality standards per Vulcraft policy and interpret weld symbols.
• Work with metric and imperial measurements and communicate shift information clearly.
