An energy company is seeking a detail-oriented Production Technologist in Calgary. This role involves monitoring well performance and supporting operations through data management and reporting. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in oil and gas production operations, preferably with a degree in engineering technology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, along with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Production Technologist to support our operations and engineering teams in the development and operation of oil and gas assets. This role is responsible for supporting our operations teams, accurate data management, production performance monitoring and regulatory compliance.
Depending on the applicant’s qualifications, this role may also include coordination of measurement and corporate production reporting.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with production operations, field data systems and be familiar with regulatory reporting requirements in Western Canada, particularly AER and Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze well performance and production data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
Work with operations team to review well files, plan and coordinate field maintenance, optimization and abandonment programs.
Coordinate measurement and corporate production reporting to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
Ensure metering schematics are available and up to date for all field locations.
Participate in capital planning and budgeting processes related to production assets.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in oil and gas production operations, data capture, or measurement in Western Canada.
Post-secondary education in engineering technology, operations, or a related discipline is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including field operators, engineers, and accountants.
