Job summary

Natural Factors is seeking a Softgel Manufacturing Support Technician for our Okanagan location. You will ensure the successful setup, operation, and maintenance of softgel encapsulation machinery in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role involves mechanical work on equipment, precision, and adherence to SOPs and GMP in a growing BC company focused on high-quality nutritional supplements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to operate, set up and repair machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work safely in a physical environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Cooperative attitude and good communication.
• Ability to work independently or with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Softgel encapsulation machinery to maximize efficiency.
• Assemble, disassemble, repair, clean and perform preventative maintenance.
• Rebuild machinery components and complete repairs using hand tools.
• Perform changeovers, tear downs and reassembly.
• Troubleshoot and repair during production in time-sensitive situations.

In this role you will

• Maintain Softgel encapsulation machinery to a level that maximizes efficiency
• Assembly, disassemble, repair, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on machinery
• Rebuild machinery components and complete machinery repairs using a variety of hand tools
• Perform changeovers, including tear downs and reassembly
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs during production in a time sensitive manner

You have

• Mechanical aptitude and experience safely operating, setting up, and repairing machinery while using a diverse selection of hand tools
• The ability to demonstrate safely working in a physically demanding environment where lifting up to 40lbs is a common occurrence
• A cooperative, positive and willing attitude all while keeping good communication and behavior with co-workers and management
• A keen focus on the little things and an understanding of the importance of attention to detail. You understand that no one thing can be overlooked, and there is no such thing as sacrificing quality.
• The ability to work well on your own or co-operatively based off the needs of the business.
