Position Overview:

We seek a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined Production Assembler / Technician to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities include assembling robotic systems and sub-assemblies per detailed work instructions, supporting troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality builds for smooth production flow.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical skills, hands-on experience (e.g., vehicle repairs or machinery), and keen attention to detail. You will play a key role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and safety of each product.

This position is based on-site in Kitchener, 5 days a week.

Main Tasks:
  1. Assemble robots and sub-assemblies following work instructions.
  2. Adhere to detailed checklists to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  3. Maintain high standards of precision and attention to detail.
  4. Use mechanical knowledge to identify fitment, alignment, or functionality issues.
  5. Perform inspections and functional testing to verify quality.
  6. Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues during assembly.
  7. Communicate issues to engineering and quality teams for root cause analysis.
  8. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following 5S and safety protocols.
  9. Report part shortages or damages.
  10. Identify process improvements for efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred.
  2. 1-3 years in mechanical or electromechanical assembly, robotics, automotive, or industrial equipment experience a plus.
  3. Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with vehicle or machinery repairs.
  4. Proven attention to detail, capable of following complex instructions.
  5. Experience with hand and power tools (wrenches, sockets, drills).
  6. Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow instructions.
  7. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, fasteners, and alignments.
  8. Familiarity with electrical components and diagnostics is a plus.
  9. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  10. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  11. Enthusiastic about hands-on work and technical learning.
