Job summary

Silgan Plastics Canada in Vaughan is seeking a process technician with a minimum of 3 years' extrusion blow molding experience. You will be responsible for end-to-end setup, mould changes, and profiling to optimize cycle times and production efficiency.

You will troubleshoot machines, address QA notes, and ensure timely production start-ups while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role offers competitive wages and company benefits after probation.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Minimum 3 years’ experience of extrusion blow molding (EBM) experience as a process technician. Looking for a team player who is self-efficient, capable of working alone and is safety conscious. Able to complete a full setup from start to finish.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Includes mould changing and completing the initial setup procedures (installing moulds, tooling, calibrations etc.).
• Capable of profiling, programming, setting cycle time, as well as start-up new jobs with no prior recipe provided.
• Responsible for putting machines into production including trouble shooting machines, and product issues noted by the QA department.
• Must perform all production functions and completes mould changes in a timely manner.
• The primary objectives are to maximize machine operating time and maintain quality levels.
• Responsible for changing moulds and all downstream equipment to meet production schedules.
• Start up or shut down machinery.
• Fine tune machines to improve production efficiencies and minimize cycle times.
