Job Summary:

Operate department under HACCP regulations and WCB safety guidelines. Rotate positions with Technician #1, #2, #3, #4 equally throughout the shift. Ensure customer satisfaction and meet requirements in packaging, with responsibility for final quality control and proper documentation. Final QC checks are everyone's responsibility. If no Bagger Operator is scheduled, Technician #1 will assume duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technician #1

• Ensure muffins meet customer requirements before bagging in the Priority QC area.
• Convey, slice, fork, group, and package all products properly.
• Clear jam-ups at forkers, conveyors, and air divider.
• Assist with bag and quick lock changes, machine jams, and tray handling.
• Rebag product manually if needed.
• Report equipment issues to the Bagger Operator and call a mechanic if necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the muffin-packaging area, including dusting machines and sweeping floors during production.
• Keep machine surfaces and tools clean and properly stored.
• Follow GMPs and assist in machinery and facility cleaning when production stops.
• Work cooperatively with team members and under the direction of the Bagger Operator.
• Communicate product loss, QA issues, or machine problems to the Shift Supervisor.

Technicians #2 and #3

• Verify proper bagging with correct print and operate metal detectors, maintaining log sheets.
• Place packaged muffins into trays or boxes, assist with stacking and setup for next runs.
• Assist in clearing jams and organizing the take-off area.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow GMPs; work as a team and communicate needs or issues.

Technician #4

• Assist with bag changeovers and rebagging muffins.
• Handle stacking, cleanup, and waste removal tasks.
• Clean machinery and work cooperatively with team members.
• Communicate issues promptly to the Shift Supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Effective communication skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to lift 25 kg.
• Work in warm environments with provided safety attire.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, and mechanical hazards.
