West Fraser Grande Prairie OSB is currently recruiting for “Production Team Members”.

Now beginning our 30th year of operation - WF Grande Prairie OSB can be your career path providing a solid compensation package including pension, extended health / dental benefits, paid vacation and more....with a regular work schedule.

As an entry level Production Team Member, the successful candidate should possess the motivation and ambition to safely develop their skills to progress to one of 4 Production Teams. There are multiple career development paths at Grande Prairie OSB including : Finishing End, Logyard, Woodroom, and more.

You'll Do

  • Work safely in a collaborate / team-focused manufacturing environment
  • Learn the OSB manufacturing process - proactively troubleshooting and problem solving to improve our process reliability
  • Operate forklift, aerial lift, skid steer and other mobile equipment
  • Opportunity to operate heavy equipment in the Log Yard
  • Perform preventive maintenance and clean up - maintaining our housekeeping standards
  • Ability to flow to work with a positive approach to managing change and contributing to team success
  • Comply with all Company safety standards and protocols

You Have

  • Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Unwavering commitment to safety
  • Competency and personal ownership to develop skills and advance career
  • Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include respirators and fall arrest harness
  • Physical ability to safely lift / carry items of various size / weight and perform repetitive tasks in an industrial environment
  • Proven track record of being reliable / dependable with limited absenteeism or tardiness
  • Effective communication skills with a genuinely positive attitude and optimistic outlook – contributing in a team-focused environment
  • Basic computer skills are important, with ability to develop computer skills relevant to specific job expectations
