American Biaxis Inc. (ABI) in Winnipeg, Manitoba seeks a Production Team Assistant to join the Production Department. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and focuses on safely operating production areas, meeting quality and output targets, and supporting team development.

The position is 100% onsite on a 12‑hour rotating shift, with duties including equipment maintenance, documentation, and active participation in a safety‑conscious production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (22.5 kg).
• 1+ years of experience communicating with team members, verbal and written.
• 6+ months of experience with hand and/or power tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to meet targets for quality, output, and waste.
• Identify and resolve production issues; elevate to senior team members when required.

• Accurately complete all required documentation and logbook entries.
• Stay current with plant communications, including emails, reports, and bulletin boards.

American Biaxis Inc. (ABI) is seeking a Production Team Assistant to join our Production Department based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

We are seeking a motivated Production Team Assistant to join our team! Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role is responsible for safely and effectively operating an assigned area of the production system while ensuring targets for quality, output, and waste are consistently met. With ongoing training and development, the Assistant will gain competency across all areas of the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and effectively operate assigned production areas, providing support in other areas as needed

• Develop expertise in specific production areas and support the growth of team members through knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience clearly communicating with team members both verbal and written.
• 6+ months of experience with hand and/or power tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ months of work experience within a manufacturing or plastics processing environment.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred
• 6+ months of experience with equipment and/or machinery (e.g. lawn mowers, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, cranes, balers) is preferred
• The Production Team Assistant position is 100% onsite, working on the production floor
• We are located in Murray Industrial Park. There are limited bus services to this location
• Parking available onsite

12-Hour Shift Rotation:

• Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 8:00am-8:00pm (days)
• Week 2 - Friday to Sunday 8:00pm-8:00am (nights)
• Week 3 - Monday 8:00pm-8:00am (nights), Friday to Sunday 8:00am-8:00pm (days)
• Week 4 - Tuesday to Thursday 8:00pm-8:00am (nights)
