What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Global Asset Management (GAM) Technology. Your responsibilities include providing investigation and second-level support for client and technical issues across all internal and external applications. This involves maintaining, prioritizing, and addressing issues with relevant CIBC technology/business groups and vendors. You’ll manage production applications and daily operations, handle escalations, and adapt procedures to specific situations, including rotational 24/7 support and coordinating recovery efforts. Additionally, you’ll support end-to-end technical project implementations and serve as a subject matter expert in both business and technology domains. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams to design and implement DevOps deployment pipelines and automation scripts, ensuring platform stability, performance, and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Succeed

  1. Production support - Investigate operational issues, prioritize based on severity and business needs, manage issue logs, and design solutions to prevent recurrence, ensuring client satisfaction.
  2. Partnership - Liaise regularly with business and technology partners, senior management, and clients. Keep internal stakeholders informed about team mandates, policies, and legislative changes. Promote the products and services of the Channel Support area.
  3. Project delivery - Assess impacts of system changes and projects, ensure compliance with standards, develop relationships with relevant teams, and support the development of policies, procedures, and standards. Investigate issues and outages, providing recommendations.

  • You can demonstrate experience in: - 3-5 years in application support, 1-3 years in banking (Capital Market/Wealth), familiarity with ITIL processes, managing support for applications, diagnosing issues via logs, documentation skills, problem-solving, cloud infrastructure monitoring, DevOps/DevSecOps with Azure DevOps/GitHub, scripting in PowerShell/Python/SQL/KQL, and Autosys JIL.
  • Education - Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, or related field with at least 3 years leading projects and designing solutions. Experience with Agile methodologies and application/architecture development is a plus.
