Your Role:
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing operations on our automated production lines in the paper industry. Your responsibilities include:
* Planning and Coordination:
Organize the daily workflow and coordinate production teams to achieve the company's performance goals.
* Team Management:
Motivate and supervise your team members, recruit, train, and evaluate staff, and promote best practices in health and safety (HSE) and quality.
* Process Optimization:
Identify and resolve efficiency issues, actively participate in continuous improvement projects, and contribute to reducing operational costs.
* Regulatory and Quality Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety rules and procedures, as well as quality and productivity standards.
Profile Sought:
We are looking for a proactive and autonomous individual capable of leading a team in a dynamic and demanding environment. You have:
* Education:
A DEC diploma in operations management or another relevant field.
* Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years of team management experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Technical and Behavioral Skills:
Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage priorities
Rigour, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
Natural leadership, team spirit, innovation, and dynamism
Knowledge of industrial environments, health and safety (HSE), and continuous improvement
Proficiency with computer tools (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
* Languages:
Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English (an asset).
Working Conditions:
* Contract: Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, evening shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.).
* Compensation: Annual salary from $80,000 to $95,000, with a bonus of 5 to 10% of the annual salary every 6 months, depending on experience.
