Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of _Oldcastle APG_ and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for a **Weekend shift Production Supervisor** at our Metcalfe plant.

Reporting to the Plant manager, the Production Supervisor will be mainly responsible for excellence in Health & Safety, Productivity, Quality, Maintenance and Housekeeping for the site.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • Supervise the hourly employees
  • Master and apply the collective agreement (if applicable);
  • Participate in OHS and maintenance activities;
  • Issue work permits
  • Lead daily and weekly meetings;
  • Account for hours worked and manage employee schedules;
  • Ensure compliance with discipline and OHS standards in the plant
  • Provide training to employees;
  • Ensure product quality by carrying out routine inspections;
  • Conduct weekly, monthly and annual OHS inspections;
  • Participate in inventory count
  • Communicate with suppliers when required;
  • Produce incident reports;
  • Optimize key performance indicator
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of operations;
  • Manage emergency situations (machine breakdown, need for labor, incidents);
  • Be present on the plant floor and ensure the smooth running of operations;
  • Mobilize the team of plant employees;
  • Collaborate on an ad hoc basis with the recruitment coordinator for interviews;

**REQUIREMENTS**

  • College Diploma in a relevant technical field
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
