Production Supervisor (GRD)

The position of Production Supervisor is an exciting new opportunity on our team. We are looking for an individual who is technically inclined, energetic, enthusiastic, productive and can handle multiple priorities in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.

The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include

  • Drive the achievement of key performance indicator (KPI)
  • Be directly responsible for work process flow, training and scheduling of assembly tasks
  • Coach and mentor the production work force on proper process and applications to meet quality standards
  • Schedule and manage a diverse workforce including hiring, training requirements and management of progressive discipline within the CBA(collective bargaining agreement)
  • Develop and/or present training materials and programs to enhance capabilities and improve utilization in a safe working environment.
  • Maintain and adhere to the health & safety guidelines and principles in unionized environment
  • Uphold and utilize the established company rules and regulations at all times
  • Coach and collaborate with all levels of the organization including support teams
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

  • A post-secondary degree/college diploma
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a mandate for safety and quality.
  • Sheet Metal or equivalent experience.
  • A willingness and ability to learn technical requirements of the product.
  • Highly organized and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical thinker and ability to problem solve complex problems and implement solutions
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to effect and champion change.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft

Shift: Weekend Days (Fri - Sun), 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.
